Hello families! I’m a doula serving Calgary and area. I was born in Calgary, so I know the city pretty well. I live in NW Calgary with my husband, two children and one dog. I have 20 years of health care experience, including 7 years as an EMT (emergency medical technician). I love camping with my family, cooking and reading.
Being a doula is the right fit for me and, you can be sure, I spent many years looking for the right fit. It turns out all those years gave me tons of information and experiences I use as a doula as well as confidence in my mothering skills. I didn’t start out that way though, so if you’re feeling short of confidence, please realize that’s normal and that’s why I do what I do.
I wish I had a doula when my children were born (12 and 11 years ago)! I could have saved myself hours and hours of worry about something, or a lot of things, that turned out to be perfectly normal.
